Changes in the “SAP prozessor capacity currency” approaching fast ….
In the past the capacity currency has been SAPS (out of SD benchmark) for a SAP database or application server… Now, more and more, and as well with the current versions of the SAP migration sizing reports e.g. ABAP SAP Note 1872170 show the “new currency” aSAPS (advanced SAPS) based now on Q2C benchmark with SAP HANA database. In our IBM Cloud already SAP certified SAP HANA profiles with aSAPS and SAPS are available e.g. starting with small PowerVS VMs/LPARs with 256 GB, 6 Cores, 47.500 SAPS / 9800 aSAPS up to large PowerVS VMs/LPARs with 30,5 TB, 229 Cores and 307.000 aSAPS…

A new revision has been released for #sap #hana 2.0 SPS08
3645031 – SAP HANA 2 SPS08 Revision 088.00

Fixed 70+ issues, including data snapshot recovery failures, Cross-Database Access privilege errors, dpserver and indexserver crashes, HDI deployment issues, MDS cache malfunctions, Web Dispatcher connection failures, memory leaks, blocked garbage collection, long query compilation times, and performance degradation with ALTER TABLE and complex view operations.

💡 Note: For SAP S/4HANA 2025 Feature Package Stack 00, SAP HANA 2.00.087 is the minimum required revision.

Also the issue with SQL Plan Cache for Parameterized Queries is fixed based on the revision note:
[Issue number 342859] Fixed an issue that could have caused crashes after enabling SQL Plan Cache for Parameterized Queries.
